Jamie Prutton

Guest Lecturer

BSc (Hons) BVSc DipACVIM DipECEIM MRCVS RCVS and European Specialist in Equine Internal Medicine, American Specialist in Large Animal Internal Medicine.

Jamie undertook a Bachelors degree in veterinary pathology at the Royal Veterinary College as an intercalated degree during his veterinary degree at The University of Liverpool. Upon graduation he started working in a mixed large animal clinic in Yorkshire. Following 18 months in this role he undertook an internship at Rossdales Equine Hospital in Suffolk. Whilst there he became interested in equine internal medicine and after the internship moved to California to start an internal medicine residency at The Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital, University of California, Davis. He gained diplomat status from the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in July 2015 and since then has been practicing at Liphook Equine Hospital. His interests, beyond internal medicine, lie with cardiology, neurology and GI disease. Jamie is currently studying part time for an executive MBA with York St John University London.
