About the School

We aim to provide the best equine nursing education through tuition delivered by teachers with decades of clinical experience and expertise.

We can do this because of our origins as a joint collaboration between Liphook Equine Hospital – one of the country’s most extensive and well-equipped equine hospitals – and VetPartners, a veterinary group focused on supporting the profession.

We offer the opportunity for trainee nurses to study for a Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing (Equine), a two-year course that will prepare you for a career in specialist equine nursing, regulated by the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS). We ask that candidates only apply if they are currently working in a practice that either is an approved equine Training Practice or is aiming to become one. You will also need to hold five GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including Maths, Science, and English.

International Applicants

If you are a non-UK national and wish to apply, you must ensure that you meet the eligibility requirements for registration with the RCVS. This includes holding the right to study and work in the UK and demonstrating equivalent academic qualifications. If your qualifications were obtained outside the UK, you may need to provide a certified translation and evidence of equivalency. Additionally, proficiency in English is essential, and you may be required to provide proof of English language competency, such as an IELTS qualification.

About Liphook

Liphook Equine Hospital is one of the largest specialist equine veterinary practices in the UK. We are a fully equipped, state-of-the-art referral hospital and centre of excellence that aims to provide compassionate, high quality veterinary services to horses, ponies and donkeys entrusted to our care. 

Our nursing team is the largest equine nursing team in the UK and many of our nurses have specialist equine nursing qualifications, meaning you will have a wide range of influences and support during your time studying with us.

We are committed to remaining at the forefront of equine medicine and surgery, enabling us to provide the most up to date and appropriate care for both our patients and their owners, who come to us at our practice on the border of Hampshire and West Sussex, and are referred from around the UK.
